Bookings and Payment

Bookings can be made by phone or e-mail but will only be confirmed on receipt of:

  • a deposit of £100  – if the booking is made more than six weeks before your holiday, or
  • full payment  – if the booking is made less than six weeks before your holiday.

The deposit or full payment need to be received within 7 days of the telephone/e-mail booking.

Payment can be made by:

  • Cheque payable to Mary Purches and sent to the address below.
  • Overseas visitors can pay by Sterling Bankers Draft.
  • Direct bank transfer may be an option
  • Credit/debit card – thanks to an arrangement we have with our local pub landlord, it is possible to pay by credit/debit card via the pub.  This will be attractive to our overseas guests but it does incur a £5 surcharge to cover his costs.  Please let us know if you’d prefer the latter option.

When we receive the deposit we’ll send you confirmation of your booking.  We’ll remind you to send the balance of payment 6 weeks prior to the start of your holiday.  On receipt we’ll send an acknowledgment along with directions to help you find ‘Jasons’.

In and Out

To allow for changeover of guests, the cottage will be available from 4:00pm on the day of arrival and we ask that it is vacated by 10:00am on the day of departure. Let us know if these times are inconvenient as we may be able to offer some flexibility. We would be most grateful if guests could provide an approximate arrival time a day or so before.

Cancellation

Deposits are non-refundable. If cancellation occurs less than 6 weeks prior to the start of the holiday, the final payment is also non-refundable  – unless we are able to re-let the period in question. We therefore suggest that you obtain insurance to cover the possibility of cancellation.

In the (very) unlikely event that unforeseen circumstances make the property unavailable, the owners reserve the right to cancel and refund the money
